At PMP, an integrated team alliance defines our approach. From the initial quote through production, our toolmakers, engineers, quality staff, and supply chain providers work concurrently to assure the best course for your deep draw components. The open communication between our team and yours offers you the accessibility and flexibility needed to meet your customers’ demands.

Deep draw metal forming and transfer press technology remain a small and specialized niche within the metal stamping category. For this reason, we understand that your engineers often require design assistance to confirm the component drawing they have drafted can indeed be manufactured. The years of experience our engineers and tool die makers bring to each project allows us to provide a high level of assistance during the design, redesign, and tooling process to allow for detailed preparation. In addition, we can often offer cost-saving ideas that deep draw metal stamping solutions can provide over other types of metal fabrication.

We are committed to delivering not only a product but a process based on best practices, strategies, and teamwork so that we can provide an optimal solution tailored to each of our customer’s unique blueprints.

Our Process
We know speed-to-market is important to our customers, which is why we begin a dialogue with you early in the process, establishing realistic benchmarks. We continue to communicate our progress regularly to help keep your production running as smoothly as possible, to accommodate demand volatility, and to meet delivery schedules.

Once we receive your order, we launch your project through engineering, production, and quality tasks with a team focus to guide the process to completion. While larger deep draw manufacturers have a separate department for toolmaking, we assign your project to a single toolmaker who, with full team assistance, guides the project through tool completion, setup, development, and production. This notion of job ownership has been part of Prospect’s culture since its founding in 1950. We believe this is critical to us and to you to avoid interdepartmental silos and multiple channels of communication, as well as to promote accountability.

Enterprise Resource Planning
In 2017, our manufacturing process planning and production control software was upgraded to meet the newest standards. The scope of our ERP system is now aligned to the ERP systems of our customers. Internally, all departments are fully integrated, and all aspects of a project’s process, such as quoting, production planning, inventory control, and quality control, operate as a single integrated system. Our new system has increased accuracy, eliminated task redundancy, and reduced the wastes of waiting and walking by eliminating the “patches” to the previous system. The information from our ERP allows us to provide more accurate and timely information to our customers and suppliers, improving on-time delivery.
