Prospect Machine Products seeks sales representation throughout the continental U.S., Mexico, and Canada for its line of deep draw metal stampings. Equipped with full tool room capabilities and a newly expanded press department, PMP seeks qualified sales reps with a knowledge of the deep draw process and deep draw markets. Candidates should have a general knowledge of blueprint reading, metal forming versus metal stamping, and metals possessing deep draw qualities. PMP will offer on-site training, expenses paid, for the proper candidates. Deep draw metal stampings are a good complementary line with turned components, stampings, and wire forms. In 2012 I was asked to join the advisory council to help guide the creation of the Advanced Manufacturing Technology Center (AMTC) at Naugatuck Valley Community College (NVCC), our local community college. The purpose of the AMTC at NVCC, one of four new centers in Connecticut, being modeled after the highly successful Asnuntuck Community College program, is to provide local manufacturers with qualified trained technicians to meet industry specific needs.
